Breaking Barriers: Advancing Digital Accessibility for a Diverse Workforce

Future Skills Organisation (FSO): Discussion Paper and Workforce Plan

OZeWAI is hosting a workshop that brings together accessibility experts from various industries, employers, and organisations to address a key challenge in building a diverse workforce: embedding digital accessibility.

We recognise that digital accessibility is crucial and the lack of accessible products and services are a barrier to achieving true inclusivity. Join us as we delve into the multifaceted journey of understanding the barriers, and opportunities to improve key aspects, from training to employment.

FSO recently published the Bridging the Digital Divide: Digital Accessibility and Inclusion Discussion Paper (downloaded as a pdf), read a HTML version or download an accessible Word version. We will use the details to explore innovative strategies to educate and empower individuals about digital accessibility. This is more than just a discussion—it’s an opportunity to ask questions, network with peers, and actively participate in pioneering solutions.

The insights and outcomes from our workshop will directly influence the FSO Workforce Plan, shaping future projects and initiatives for a more inclusive digital landscape.

Together, let’s pave the way for a more inclusive digital future.

We are keen to collaborate with as many people as possible across both local, state and federal government, so please join us and share with colleagues who are involved or interested in policy design and/or accessibility. If you are interested in being involved in industry specific workshops, please email us at info@ozewai.org.
